Mizuno MX-1000 Irons

We've been lucky enough to try out these irons and the consensus is in: The MX-1000's by Mizuno are as hot as an Arizona summer day and as straight as a freight train through Kansas. Mizuno's Hot Metal is created by plasma welding a thin, hot, ES230 maraging steel face to a high tech stainless steel body. The result is roughly 10 more yards of distance per iron in relation to their previous MX-200 model. The MX-1000 irons are available in a 4-iron through sand wedge and can be custom ordered in either steel or graphite shafts. For more info on all things Mizuno, visit their website at www.mizunogolf.com.

Cobra ZL Driver

There are many companies that simply place a letter and number together and call it a name. In the case of Cobra's ZL Driver, the ZL actually stands for something meaningful. The ZL is short for Zero Limits, or in other words it's Cobra's longest and most accurate driver ever. The ZL is constructed with Adjustable Flight Technology, which allows you to set the face in either an open, closed, or neutral setting for consistent distance and accuracy. Finally, did we mention the ZL may be the sweetest looking driver in the past 5 years, complete with a black and chrome 1930's Rolls Royce look to it. TaylorMade XFT Wedges

Oh how we'd love to be a fly on the wall at the R&D Department of TaylorMade Golf. As golf's first billion dollar company, it's apparent they have the resources and ingenuity to push golf technology to a higher level. Their latest achievement, the XFT Wedge, is the game's first interchangeable face wedge. This allows the golfer to only have to change out the face instead of buying a whole new wedge once the grooves are showing signs of wear. The XFT wedges are available in 10 different lofts and bounce combinations, while six of them are made for left-handers. For more information on TaylorMade's complete wedge line, visit www.taylormadegolf.com.

Bushnell Pro 1600 Rangefinder

The great GPS/Rangefinder debate rages on within the walls of Midwest Golfing Magazine. I've always gravitated toward Rangefinders based on this simple premise - if I'm going to fork over a monthly car payment for a device, I don't want to then have to spend another $30-$50 per year just to download the courses I need. That's where the Bushnell Pro 1600 Rangefinder comes in, the industry standard in terms of right from box to the course satisfaction. The consensus #1 rangefinder on Tour has a range of 400 yards to the flag, is 100% waterproof and features 7 times magnification. Tour Edge Exotics XCG-3 Driver

Is the last driver you bought from the Reagan Administration? According to a recent article in Golf Digest, any driver made before 2007 is obsolete. Your solution - the Exotics XCG-3 Driver from Tour Edge. At 28 only grams, the lighter weighting of the club head reduces twisting and turning and gives you a higher M.O.I. (Moment of Inertia). With a larger sweet spot, errant shots go the way of the persimmon driver as there is less variation between center and off-center hits. The Exotics line also features a 30-day play-test guarantee and lifetime warranty, so you can't afford not to upgrade. Tour Edge's cutting-edge technology can be enjoyed at www.exoticsgolf.com.

Sun Mountain ClubGlider

The Sun Mountain ClubGlider pays for itself. Maybe you've heard of a little thing called baggage fees? That's right, this baby pays for itself because you can fit two 3.5 pound bags with clubs, two pairs of shoes and two dozen balls into the ClubGlider Pro which cuts your airline baggage fees in half! That's not even the best feature of this Golf Channel "Fore Inventors Only" finalist as explained by Steve Snyders, Sun Mountain Public Relations Manager. "ClubGlider is the first and only golf travel bag with an extendable leg and wheels that support 100% of the weight. It's truly one of those 'ah ha' innovations that is so logical once you use it." The 'ah ha' is apparent when you navigate one around your local golf shop. To learn more, visit www.sunmountain.com.
