AG Green Label

Making a High End Fashion Statement in Golf Apparel

By David Theoret

AG Green may be best known for making designer jeans that are at the upper end of the price spectrum, but they continue to make great headway in the golf apparel arena by manufacturing high quality tops and bottoms for men - sorry ladies. They are environmentally responsible as seen from their Ozone Technology and the use of eco-conscious fibers. They are also committed to a non-profit organization, charity: water, that is devoted to bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations.

For Spring/Summer 2017 their Green Label golf line has some amazing new additions. The Mensa Polo is sewn from AG Green's 60% Cotton/35% Polyester/5% Lycra fabric, making it durable, stretchable and soft to the touch. This fabric also uses several new technologies and has great moisture wicking capabilities to keep you dry throughout the day. The UV protection and thermo-regulating properties keep the sun's harmful rays at bay and keep you cool on hot days. The Mensa features a 3-button placket with a button-down self-collar, split sides and a dropped back hem. This great looking polo will have others taking notice, no matter how good - or bad - your game is! The Mensa Polo is available in sizes XS - XL and in three colorways: Heathered Rustic Brick, Heathered Clay Sky and Heathered Agave Green. Retail price is $108.
The Newton Vest is a great looking outerwear piece. The 100% Polyester fabric is 100% windproof and waterproof to help shield you from weather's undesirable elements. It's the perfect layering piece and is both lightweight and breathable. The black contrasting full-length zippered front and zip pockets on the front help provide a waterproof barrier and a stunning look. There's also an embroidered AG Green logo on the back. Not only will it keep the bad weather out, it'll have you looking good at the same time. The Newton Vest is available in sizes XS - XXL and in Heathered Grey. Retail price is $248.

If you like cotton, you'll love the Canyon Short. They are crafted from the company's Match Twill, 98% Cotton/2% Polyester fabric. Making them extremely lightweight with a little bit of extra stretch. The front pockets are cut on a slant, making them easy to get your hands in and out of and the welted back pockets are large enough to hold most scorecards. The Canyon Short is both durable and comfortable with a relaxed fit, perfect for both on the course and off. It's available in sizes 28 - 40 and in 4 colors: Rustic Brick, Naval Blue, Crisp Khaki and Bright White. Retail price is $128.

For golfers living in cooler climates or for those who like a more polished, professional golf look, the Graduate Trouser is the perfect fit - literally. It's sewn from the same fabric as the Canyon Short, so it has a little bit of extra stretch and is very lightweight. Slanted front pockets make it easy to get your golf necessities in and out and the rear patch pockets are quite large and easily accessible too. The button closure and zip fly are well constructed and the relaxed fit through the waist adds to your comfort. There's a Green Label golf logo on the right back pocket that identifies the brand. You'll look the part of the perfect golf gentleman with the Graduate Trousers. They're available in sizes 29 - 38 and in 6 colors: Bright White, Caviar, Naval Blue, Blue Creek, Crip Khaki and Morning Grey. Retail price is $178.

AG Green Label golf apparel can be purchased through their website www.aggreenlabel.com. They have plenty of exciting colors and designs to spruce up your current wardrobe. The color palette is not over the top and will easily blend in with your current wardrobe.

About: David Theoret

David Theoret David Theoret has been in the golf and golf travel industry for over 10 years, primarily selling online advertising. For the past seven years, he has also been a golf writer, reviewing golf courses, resorts, destinations, equipment, golf apparel, and training aids - the latter of which never seems to help. David's articles and reviews have been posted on many golf travel and equipment websites.

Growing up in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, it was naturally assumed he would play hockey. Beginning at the age of 3 and continuing into his late 30's, he did just that. However, after one too many pucks to the head, he realized that golf was a lot easier on the body (whoever said hockey players were slow) and took the game up.

After moving to Florida and accepting a position with TravelGolf Media (now part of GolfNow) his love for the game grew exponentially. Most Saturdays you will find him on a course somewhere in Florida or on the practice range reinforcing his bad habits. David plays to a 10 handicap - unless there is money involved in which case it goes considerably higher. He currently resides in Lakeland, FL with his wife Belinda and their two "kids", Madyson and Molly.
