Washington County GC - 3 Hole Practice Course
Top Notch Practice Facility
By Brian Weis
Wrapped around the three acre driving range, lies one of the best kept golf secrets in Metro-Milwaukee. Washington County Golf Course boasts a three hole practice facility that is second to none. The pristine tee to green conditions equal that of the 18 hole championship course on property.
I admit, I played the course a dozen times before I even realized it was there. The first hole is just west of the driving range. The second hole borders the back of the range and third hole lines the entrance driveway.
#1 - A straight away rolling 280 yard hole with elevated green.
#2 - A 230 yard dog leg right with wind blown native fescue lining the left fairway.
#3 - A short 135 yard short par-3 with undulating green and oval-shaped sand bunker in front.
Need extra practice? In addition, to a 5 green driving range, Washington County GC features a full chipping green and practice bunker.

All of his life, Brian has been around the game of golf. As a youngster, Brian competed at all levels in junior and high school golf. Brian had a zero chance for a college golf scholarship, so he worked on the grounds crew at West Bend Country Club to pay for his University of Wisconsin education. In his adult years, his passion for the game collided with his entrepreneurial spirit and in 2004 launched GolfWisconsin.com. In 2007, the idea for a network of local golf directory sites formed and GolfTrips.com was born. Today, the network consists of a site in all 50 states supported by national sites like GolfTrips.com, GolfGuide.com and GolfPackages.com. It is an understatement to say, Brian is passionate about promoting golf and golf travel on a local, regional, national and international level.
On the golf course, Brian is known as a fierce weekend warrior that fluctuates between a 5-9 handicap. With a soft fade, known as "The Weis Slice", and booming 300+ drives, he can blast it out of bounds with the best of them.
