Raven Golf Club - Phoenix, formerly Raven at South Mountain, recently re-opened for play. In addition to a new identity, a number of enhancements have been made to the golf course, including a comprehensive renovation of the bunkers, landscape improvements and specialized tree management programs. The clubhouse also received new interior and exterior paint, fresh interior design elements, kitchen upgrades, restaurant rebranding and additional landscaping.
Open since 1996 and designed by David Graham and Gary Panks, the Raven Golf Club has received national recognition for its fun-to-play layout and non-traditional (in the desert) pine tree-lined fairways. Located just minutes from Sky Harbor Airport and downtown Phoenix, the Raven Golf Club - Phoenix features more than 6,000 mature Georgia pine trees. Through the years, the facility has earned numerous, prestigious awards including "Top 50 Public Courses in the Country" by Golf World's 2009 Reader Choice Awards and a 4.5 Star (out of five) rating from Golf Digest.
"We're excited about the opening of the new Raven Golf Club - Phoenix," stated Phil Green, Chief Operating Officer and Principal of OB Sports. "Our golf course enhancements and renovations as well as clubhouse improvements have given new life to this very popular facility."

All of his life, Brian has been around the game of golf. As a youngster, Brian competed at all levels in junior and high school golf. Brian had a zero chance for a college golf scholarship, so he worked on the grounds crew at West Bend Country Club to pay for his University of Wisconsin education. In his adult years, his passion for the game collided with his entrepreneurial spirit and in 2004 launched GolfWisconsin.com. In 2007, the idea for a network of local golf directory sites formed and GolfTrips.com was born. Today, the network consists of a site in all 50 states supported by national sites like GolfTrips.com, GolfGuide.com and GolfPackages.com. It is an understatement to say, Brian is passionate about promoting golf and golf travel on a local, regional, national and international level.
On the golf course, Brian is known as a fierce weekend warrior that fluctuates between a 5-9 handicap. With a soft fade, known as "The Weis Slice", and booming 300+ drives, he can blast it out of bounds with the best of them.
