Whether you have played a course 20+ times a year or looking to play the course for the first time, insights from an insider can help enhance your golf experience. Give Our Readers An Overview of the Golf Course/Property
Oak Glen Golf Course features 27 holes of bent grass fairways and greens. Our 18 hole Championship course has hosted the 1991 MGA Four-Ball Championship and will host the 2014 & 2015 MGA Team Championship, 2016 MGA Senior Four-Ball Championship and the 2017 MGA Women's Mid-Amateur Championship.
The Executive Course (par 29) nine hole course earns the same meticulous care from our grounds crew and is fun for all abilities.
Synonymous with excellence, our elegantly designed banquet facilities were remodeled in 2008 and can facilitate multiple functions and parties up to 400 guests.
Oak Glen is owned and operated by the Wilson Golf Group and the group's pride in ownership is represented in every detail.
If Someone Was Looking To Golf In The Area, Why Should They Play Your Course?
Oak Glen is the best value in the East Metro.
What Tips or Local Knowledge Would You Provide To Help Them Score Better At Your Course?
Relax and have fun, that's what always helps you score better!
What Is The Signature, Most Talked About, or Most Photographed Hole?
While Oak Glen does not have a signature hole, #10 and #16 on the Championship Course are the most talked about. Both holes have Brown's Creek running through them and the DNR did a nice renovation of the Creek in 2012. The renovation was done for the trout population but it enhanced the beauty of both holes. It was truly a win-win project!
What Is Your Favorite Hole? Any Tips to Play It?
My favorite hole is #3 on the Championship Course. The hole says 140 on the card from the back tees but with green that is 40 yards deep it can stretch to 160 to hole location. The green has an hourglass design creating a very inviting front hole location making you think about a 1 or a 2! Middle hole locations are protected by bunkers flanking the narrowest part of the green. Pins cut all the way back not only bring longer clubs into play but miss the green a little long and you will find yourself going down a large hill out-of-bounds. This hole truly brings all numbers into play as it is our most aced par 3 but you are more likely to walk away with a 5 and scratching your head if you get too aggressive.

All of his life, Brian has been around the game of golf. As a youngster, Brian competed at all levels in junior and high school golf. Brian had a zero chance for a college golf scholarship, so he worked on the grounds crew at West Bend Country Club to pay for his University of Wisconsin education. In his adult years, his passion for the game collided with his entrepreneurial spirit and in 2004 launched GolfWisconsin.com. In 2007, the idea for a network of local golf directory sites formed and GolfTrips.com was born. Today, the network consists of a site in all 50 states supported by national sites like GolfTrips.com, GolfGuide.com and GolfPackages.com. It is an understatement to say, Brian is passionate about promoting golf and golf travel on a local, regional, national and international level.
On the golf course, Brian is known as a fierce weekend warrior that fluctuates between a 5-9 handicap. With a soft fade, known as "The Weis Slice", and booming 300+ drives, he can blast it out of bounds with the best of them.
