Your Guide to the Venues Set to Host the 2018 Major Championships

The four Major championships on the golf calendar are the biggest tournaments of the year in the sport. Not only are the world's best players desperate to participate and win these events, fans of the game love to attend, where they are sure to see history being made on the finest golf courses in the US and UK.
If you are planning a trip to a golf Major in 2018, here are the four venues you have to choose from.
US Masters - Augusta National Golf Club
The US Masters in April in the only Major Championship in the sport where the venue does not change each year. Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia first hosted the Masters in 1934 and it has become one of the finest golf courses anywhere in the world. If you have ever seen the Masters on TV, you will be able to vouch for what fantastic picturesque course Augusta is. The sun is generally shining on this part of the states in April so it is likely to be an experience you will be remembered for the rest of your life. Sergio Garcia will line up as the defending champion this year after he broke his maiden Major tag in 2017.
US Open - Shinnecock Hills Golf Club
New York City is set to host the US Open in 2018 at the Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Long Island. If you have never been to New York before, this is the perfect chance to see the city that never sleeps with a visit to one of the four golf Majors tied into it. The golf course is deeply rooted into the history of the tournament as it has hosted the US Open four times before. Brooks Koepka will be looking to retain his title after coming out on top at Erin Hills last season.
Open Championship - Carnoustie Golf Club
Carnoustie Golf Club in Scotland is one of the oldest golf courses in the world as it was established in 1850. Given it is a links course right next to the coast, conditions tend to be tough for the world's best players therefore the 2018 Open Championship will make for fascinating viewing. The last time the tournament was held there Padraig Harrington lifted the Claret Jug. The Irishman is expected to be part of the field once again and is rated as an 80/1 shot in the golf betting to win the oldest of the four Majors again in Scotland.
US PGA Championship - Bellerive Country Club
The final Major Championship of 2018 is in August as Bellerive Country Clubs holds the US PGA Championship. Bellerive is located in Town and Country, Missouri which is just west of St Louis. This year's tournament is the 100th US PGA Championship therefore it is sure to be special. In 1965 the US Open was held at the course where South African Gary Player came out on top, while the last time the US PGA Championship was played there was in 1992 as Nick Price ended the weekend victorious. If you are attending this year, expecting to do plenty of walking as the course is a huge 7,547 yards long.
