Savannah Quarters' Cody Carter Named "Best Young Teachers"

Cody Carter, the head golf professional at The Club at Savannah Quarters in Pooler, Georgia, has been named to Golf Digest's list of "Best Young Teachers in America." Golf Digest biennially searches top young golf instruction talent(under the age of 40) to grow its roster of teaching's the next generation. Carter, a former United States Marine and member of the PGA of America, has been the head professional at The Club at Savannah Quarters since July 2018, After playing golf at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Carter joined the Marine Corps. He began his career at Vidalia Country Club. In 2011 Cody moved to Beaufort, South Carolina where he served as the assistant golf professional and director of instruction at Legends Golf Course at Parris Island. He is currently a member of The Proponent Group and the Operation 36 network. In 2017, Carter was presented with the Hilton Head PGA "Teacher of the Year" award as well as the Sportsmanship award with the First Tee of the Low Country. Cody and his wife Amanda have two children, Monroe(30) and Warren(1).
