Sea Pines Country Club Recognized by Club Management Magazine for 'State-of-the-Art Clubhouse' Design

Sea Pines Country Club, Hilton Head Island's premier private club, has been recognized by Club Management Magazine for its "State-of-the-Art Clubhouse" design.
The official publication of the Club Management Association of America (CMAA), Club Management recognized select clubs across the U.S. that have re-invented themselves as "stylish, modern venues" that create "unique experiences and draw in members."
Sea Pines Country Club was selected due to its "Vision 2020" long-range plan, relationship to its location, and overall integration with the natural Lowcountry environment. The magazine highlighted the club's fitness center, expansive pool deck, Blue Heron Pub & Grille and its marshview gathering area featuring a firepit and bocce court.
"Club Management is the premier publication in the private club industry, and we're honored to be recognized for all the hard work our members, staff and design partners have invested in our club," says General Manager and Chief Operating Officer Robbie Ames. "Our views of the tidal marsh are uniquely Lowcountry and a major 'wow factor' for the club, and it was important that we accentuate that strength."
Grady L. Woods Architects led the architectural design of phases one and two of the clubhouse reimagination. Headquartered in Ridgeland, S.C., the firm is led by namesake and longtime principal Grady Woods. Woods is regionally renowned for his work in the Southeastern U.S., including the new clubhouse at Harbour Town Golf Links at neighboring Sea Pines Resort.
"That area by the clubhouse wasn't being utilized and it is one of the most beautiful spots on property," Woods told Club Management. "Now, the club takes full advantage of its setting. Some of the most advanced design techniques and materials are those that integrate interior and exterior spaces"
Sea Pines Country Club recently launched a virtual tour at its website for existing and prospective members to experience the clubhouse, fitness and tennis centers, and Arnold Palmer, Clyde Johnston-designed Club Course.
