Chase54 Spring '17 Apparel Review
Expanding on Tradition
By David Theoret
Chase54 continues to evolve as a player in the ever-changing golf apparel industry and judging by the high quality and appealing products they put out on a consistent basis, they are in it for the long haul. With over 30 years of manufacturing experience and new technologies that deliver a fresh look, Chase54 continues their pursuit of apparel perfection.
For Spring 2017, Chase54 introduces their "Tech by the Ocean" Collection, which offers a fresh look at some of their high-performance fabric technologies. Tech by the Ocean combines nature and technology to offer Chase54's most vibrant collection of golf apparel to date.
Chase54's Blondie Polo uses their proprietary DRYFUZE technology to wick moisture away from the body and keep you feeling dry throughout the day. This highly functional ladies garment features a zip front placket and is made from a 90% Polyester/10% Spandex fabric that moves with her throughout the golf swing with no pinching or binding. A UPF of 40+ and a flattering fit only adds to the appeal of this polo. The Blondie Polo is available in sizes XS-XXL and in Black and Iris. Retail price is a low $64.50.
I saw the Flashdance Skort on Brooke Pancake at the PGA Show this year and it is a definite eye-catcher; not that Brooke isn't. It's equipped with DRYFUZE technology to keep you dry by wicking away moisture and is made from the same material as the Blondie Polo, so it has that little bit of extra stretch that any woman desires. The fabric has a tie-dyed/pixeled look to it and the two zippers in front allow the ladies to show as much of the contrasting black material underneath as they desire. When partially unzipped, the Flashdance Skort has a very unique look. The Flashdance Skort is available in sizes XS-XXL and in one color: purple and orange. Retail price is $88.
I am partial to colorful garments and the Men's Orbit Polo fills the bill nicely. It too features DRYFUZE to keep moisture away from the body and the 90% Polyester/10% Spandex material moves with you. The seams on the Orbit Polo are reinforced with topstitching and the removable collar stays - which have become somewhat of a trademark with Chase54 polos - keep the collar in place and add a crisp look. With a UPF 40+, you're well protected from the sun and can concentrate on your next shot. The all-over print is colorful but not overstated and gives this shirt a fun look. The Orbit Polo is available in sizes S-XXL and has a retail price of $79.50
Chase54's Mens Trekker Shorts use DRYFUZE technology to keep you dry and the mechanical stretch in the 100% Polyester fabric gives added mobility when you need it most. The gripper tape waistband keeps the shirt tucked in and you looking good, and the deep front pockets keep your valuables from falling out. The Trekker Shorts are available in waist sizes 30-44 and in seven colors: Black, Navy, Platinum, Khaki, Stone, White and Skylight. Retail price is a scant $79.00.
These are just a few of the highlights from Chase54's Spring 2017 Collection. To see more of these great golf garments, visit their website at www.chase54.com and click on Shop>New Arrivals.

Growing up in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, it was naturally assumed he would play hockey. Beginning at the age of 3 and continuing into his late 30's, he did just that. However, after one too many pucks to the head, he realized that golf was a lot easier on the body (whoever said hockey players were slow) and took the game up.
After moving to Florida and accepting a position with TravelGolf Media (now part of GolfNow) his love for the game grew exponentially. Most Saturdays you will find him on a course somewhere in Florida or on the practice range reinforcing his bad habits. David plays to a 10 handicap - unless there is money involved in which case it goes considerably higher. He currently resides in Lakeland, FL with his wife Belinda and their two "kids", Madyson and Molly.
