Zerotie Golf Shoes

I was introduced to some new golf footwear from ZeroTie Handsfree Shoes this past January at the annual PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando FL. A couple of friends who had stopped by the booth and spoken with Forrest Brown, VP of Sales came to me and said there was a new "footwear technology" that I needed to check out. That technology was ZeroTie Handsfree Shoes.

For those of you not familiar with the brand, ZeroTie Handsfree Shoes are handsfree lacing shoes. That's right, you don't use your hands to tie or untie these shoes. It's all done with the use of a tightening "wheel" on the heel bevel. The wheel is positioned such that you simply step into the shoe (again without using your hands), tilt your heel back with toe pointing at angle so wheel engages the ground and simply pull your foot back to tighten laces. Now, do the same thing with the other foot. When you feel the shoes are tight enough, you're done! Taking the ZeroTie Handsfree Shoes off is even easier, simply step down on the release lever on the heel and walk out of the shoes. It's that simple.

Apart from the unique tightening system, ZeroTie Handsfree Shoes are made from high quality materials and feature a man-made upper, breathable lining, removable insole, and supportive non-slip bottom. It's the no-slip soles that make them golf-worthy and comparable to many spikeless golf shoes. In fact, of the eleven different models offered by ZeroTie Handsfree Shoes, about half of them have soles I would feel confident with on the golf course. The Backswing Blucher Classic and Backswing Moctoe Classic models are specifically for golf.

Recently, the company launched two new golf-specific models: The Blucher Classic and Moctoe Classic. These ZeroTie Handsfree Shoes are great shoes that rival competitive brands in the $300 range. They feature high-grade, water-resistant leather uppers, anti-microbial linings, 3 layers of EVA underfoot, and supportive non-slip bottoms. The Moctoe Classic and Blucher Classic can be worn on or off the course; in fact, wear them to the course and you won't have to worry about changing shoes! The Backswing Moctoe Classics are available for both men and women. Men's are available in whole and half sizes 8 - 12, 13 and only in Black. Women's are available in sizes 6 - 10, 11 and in either Black or a sharp looking Red/Cayenne colorway. The Backswing Blucher Classic is available in whole and half sizes 8 - 12, 13 and in either Cognac or Bone. Retail price is $159.90 for men and $149.90 for women.

Another model that is well-suited for golf is the Rocky Run, which are available for both men and women. These shoes are extremely comfortable and offer all the support you'll need to get around the golf course. They're sport enough for just about any outdoor activity or casual event and the no-slip sole will keep you well connected to the ground while on the golf course. Men's are available in half-sizes 8 - 13 and in either Black or White. Retail price is $98.90. Rocky Runs are available for women in three colorways: Black, Purple/Lavender and Gray/Grey Blue in half-sizes 6 - 10, 11. Retail price is $119.90
