- Outdoing Themselves Once Again
By David Theoret
adidas has been a popular sportswear brand for long time; and they're into just about everything. Whether it's running, skateboarding, soccer, football or a host of other sports, adidas has you covered - literally. And I don't just mean your feet; they've literally got you covered from head to toe.
For my money, adidas golf apparel and footwear is hard to beat; their Adipure line can't be beat. A popular new design is the Adipure Dynamic Stripe Polo (https://www.adidas.com/us/adipure-dynamic-stripe-polo-shirt/DT3436.html) which is crafted from of a blend of soft polyester and nylon, giving it a little extra stretch for full extension on your backswing and follow through. The fabric also has great moisture-wicking properties and has been treated with built-in UV protection keep you dry and comfortable in the heat. It's a regular fit, meaning it's wider in the body with a straight silhouette. The Dynamic Stripe Polo features a three-button placket with and a ribbed collar with a heathered gradient stripe. Signature Adipure detailing makes the look pure adidas. The Dynamic Stripe Polo is S - XXL and in True Pink.
If you're looking for a high quality pair of shorts to pair your new Dynamic Stripe Polo with, look no further than the Adipure Tech Shorts (www.adidas.com/us/adipure-tech-shorts/DS8968.html) . They offer a traditional look yet are designed for flexibility on the golf course; their regular fit strikes the perfect balance between loose and snug. The water-resistant stretch fabric keeps you dry and comfortable no matter what the weather and the UPF 50+ UV finish keeps the sun's rays at bay. Front and back pockets keep gloves and extra balls and tees safe and secure. The Adipure Tech Shorts are available in sizes 30 - 42 and in six colors. They're like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day.
adidas new Ulimate365 Dash Stripe Polo melds athletic style with ultimate performance. It's sewn from soft polyester with built-in four-way stretch for full extension throughout your golf swing. Several years ago, adidas introduced their Ultimate365 line of men's tops and bottoms and they quickly became my favorites. The shorts were available in about 20 colors; several of the ultrabright ones are no longer made. I think I have just about every color. Now they have introduced them in an allover Gingham pattern. The stretchy, moisture-wicking fabric provides breathability and a full range of motion, while the silicone adidas-print gripper tape on the waistband helps keep your shirt tucked in throughout the round. The fabric is water-resistant and finished with UPF 50+ UV protection. The slip-in front pockets are deep enough to keep your valuables safe and secure and the back welt pockets are roomy enough for the biggest of scorecards. There's an adidas Badge of Sport above the back pocket. The Ultimate 365 Gingham Shorts are available in sizes 30 - 42 sand in 5 colors. https://www.adidas.com/us/ultimate365-gingham-shorts/CD9884.html
When the weather turns ugly - and we all know it happens on the golf course - Adidas water resistant Club Jacket is built for lightweight weather protection. With a windproof body fabric and stretch mesh panels, this jacket is engineered for breathability and ease of motion; the vented back allows for additional airflow. The Club Jacket features a full-zip design with stand-up collar and the half elastic cuffs and hem give a snug yet comfortable fit. Zippered side seam pockets provide secure storage for all of your golf essentials. There's also an Adidas brandmark on the back yoke.
At last, the TOUR360 XT golf shoe is available in a spikeless version; introducing the new TOUR360 XT - SL. This new shoe is a regular fit with lace construction and features a leather and microfiber synthetic upper. Responsive midsole cushioning returns energy so you can walk the course in comfort. The new spikeless Puremotion outsole offers enhanced flexibility and grip. The X-Traxion primary lugs give great grip and balance while the Torsion X bar offers stability from the ground up. Adidas INSITE sockliner produces a snug yet comfortable fit and the full grain leather heel lining adds durability. The Climastorm finish on the upper is breathable and water repellent. TOUR360 XT - SL shoes are available in sizes 7 - 15 and in for colorways. A couple of the colors are also available in a laceless BOA model. adidas Ultimate Adistar Skort is designed for movement on the links and the regular fit strikes the perfect balance between snug and loose. The wide waistband features power mesh for more tummy control and the attached undershorts . The front slip-in pockets are deep and keep valuables safe and secure and the back welt pockets can accommodate even the largest scorecards. Don't tell anyone, but there's a secret ball pocket on hip below waistband. The Ultimate Adistar Skort is available in sizes XS - XL and in White, Black and Night Indigo. https://www.adidas.com/us/ultimate-adistar-skort/DQ2127.html
Adidas gives ladies the chance to add a little pizzazz to their golf wardrobe with the Women's Ultimate Print Golf Skort. This skort is made from recycled polyester and helps save resources and decrease emissions. It's available in two allover bold prints: Active Purple and Night Indigo/True Pink and features stretch technology that allows for full range of motion and moisture wicking to keep you cool and dry throughout your round. The wide waistband with power mesh provides contour and helps smooth your shape. This skort has a lot of storage too; front slip-in pockets provide ample storage and back welt pockets are big enough for most scorecards. The inner shorts with silicane print inside the leg openings provide added modesty and prevent the shorts from riding up the leg. There's also a secret ball pocket below the waistband on the hip. The Ultimate Print Golf Skort is available in sizes XS - XL. https://www.adidas.com/us/search?q=Ultimate%20Print%20Golf%20Skort
Ladies, want more from the Ultimate Collection? The Ultimate365 Printed Sleeveless Golf Polo is sewn from adidas' moisture wicking fabric for lasting comfort; the four-way stretch fabric provides unrestricted movement during your swing. This sleeveless garment features UV 50+ protection from the sun's harmful UV rays. The 4-button placket lets you decide for easy adjustability. The Ultimate365 Printed Sleeveless Golf Polo pairs well with the Ultimate Print Golf Skort; the collar, placket and sleeve material is made from the same design as the skort. It's available in sizes XS - XL. https://www.adidas.com/us/ultimate365-printed-sleeveless-polo-shirt/DU7894.html

David Theoret has been in the golf and golf travel industry for over 10 years, primarily selling online advertising. For the past seven years, he has also been a golf writer, reviewing golf courses, resorts, destinations, equipment, golf apparel, and training aids - the latter of which never seems to help. David's articles and reviews have been posted on many golf travel and equipment websites.
Growing up in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, it was naturally assumed he would play hockey. Beginning at the age of 3 and continuing into his late 30's, he did just that. However, after one too many pucks to the head, he realized that golf was a lot easier on the body (whoever said hockey players were slow) and took the game up.
After moving to Florida and accepting a position with TravelGolf Media (now part of GolfNow) his love for the game grew exponentially. Most Saturdays you will find him on a course somewhere in Florida or on the practice range reinforcing his bad habits. David plays to a 10 handicap - unless there is money involved in which case it goes considerably higher. He currently resides in Lakeland, FL with his wife Belinda and their two "kids", Madyson and Molly.
