- Great Looks Inspire a Great Game
By David Theoret
Under Armour steps up their game for ladies fashionable golf apparel with their new Links Printed Skort. Technically, this garment doesn't get any better. The light and durable stretch-woven fabric is super-comfortable. It wicks sweat away from the body quickly and dries fast and the fabric's 4-way stretch helps you move better in every direction. The soft knit encased elastic waistband provides a comfortable and flattering fit and the built-in knit compression shorts provide added support and modesty. The front open hand pockets are trimmed in white and provide plenty of room for your golf paraphernalia. It's available in a couple of eye-catching prints including White and Lipstick/Beta and in sizes XS - XL.
The UA Zinger Blocked Polo is the perfect complement to the Links Printed Skort; it has the same Lipstick/Beta print. The soft anti-pick, anti-pill fabric is extremely breathable and lightweight and the 4-way stretch construction let you move better in any direction. The moisture wicking material keeps you cool and dry and the UPF 30 sun protection sewn into the fabric keeps the sun's harmful rays at bay. There's also an anti-odor technology agent that prevents the growth of odor-causing microbes. The V-neck construction and shaped hem add a feminine touch. The Zinger Blocked Polo is available in sizes XS - XL and in three color combinations/prints: White/ Lipstick, White/Blue Frost, and Blue Frost/Blue Ink
Golfers who want to get the most out of their season tend to start playing early and look to play late; stretch it out as much as possible. To do so, they need a variety of garments that will keep them warm/cool as the temperature dictates. Under Armour's Soft Shell Vest is perfect for those cool mornings when a jacket is too much. The stretchy softshell provides the ultimate in warmth and comfort without sacrificing durability and functionality. With the 4-way stretch construction you'll move easier meaning zero distractions when you swing and the zipped hand pockets provide security for all of you golf essentials. The Soft Shell Vest is available in sizes XS - XL and in three color/combinations: White/Lipstick, Blue Frost/Blue Ink, or Black.
UA's got you covered from top to bottom. The soft cotton fabric produces a comfortable, broken-in feel and the pre-curved visor and unstructured front practically molds to your head for a sleek, low profile fit. UA's Siro sweatband provides better stretch and recovery with an ultra-soft feel. It's available in either Lipstick or Mod Gray.
Don't want to miss out playing on those chilly mornings? The Women's UA Links Leggings are the perfect choice! Lightweight and breathable; they add just enough warmth to keep you warm and cozy. Wear them alone with a polo or under a skort for a little extra coverage. Either way, they are a must have rolled up in your golf bag for whenever you might need them!
Guys will have a much better look on the course too. Or off the course, because this is some versatile apparel. The UA Performance 2.0 Colorblock Polo has a looser fit for greater comfort. The smooth, soft anti-pick, anti-pill fabric has 4-way stretch construction and wicks sweat away quickly and effectively while the anti-odor properties help keep you smelling fresh. The flat knit collar and 2-button placket look classic. This great looking polo is available in both Regular (S - 3XL) and Tall (LGT - 3XLT) and in 5 colorblock combinations.
The new Enduro Pant features Storm technology which repels water without sacrificing breathability and the ultra-durable ripstop fabric is tough enough to put up with anything as you search the field and forest for that errant tee shot. The stretch-engineered waistband allows for superior mobility and insane comfort. Open front and back pockets have a low-profile yet provide security; there's also a zip pocket on the right leg. And by the way, the belt loops are offset for proper holster placement. The Enduro Pant is available in sizes 30 - 44 and in 6 colors: Black, Bayou, Marine Green, Navy Blue, Coyote Brown, and Graphite.
On those hot summer days, it always seems that the temperature is higher on the golf course. With Under Armour's Iso Chill technology you'll feel cool the instant you put it on. Here's how it works: its ribbon-shaped nylon fibers disperse heat, while titanium dioxide-the stuff in sunscreen-pulls away heat. The4-way stretch construction lets you move better while properties of the fabric keep you cool, dry and fresh. The Iso-Chill Graphic Polo has a looser cut for a more comfortable fit, a low profile, micro collar in a contrasting color and a placket with hidden buttons with a real pro golf look. The Iso-Chill Graphic Polo is available in sizes S - 3XL and in 3 startling color combinations: White/Halo Grey, Peach Frost/Calla, and Aqua Float/Radial Turquoise. On those hot summer day, you'll feel like you've got an ice pack built right in so you will feel cooler and can play longer!
With the chilly weather, men golfers don't to wear a bulky, restrictive coat. In fact, if we can find something that goes way beyond the course, even better! The new Sweater Fleece ½ Zip feels like a lightweight sweater yet UA's Storm technology keeps the rain off like a jacket, and from the looks of it, you can it wear just about anywhere. The ½ zip front lets you get it on and off quickly for easy layering and the lightweight heathered fleece with its brushed inner layer oozes warmth. The ribbed shoulder panels provide added stretch & comfort. The new Sweater Fleece ½ Zip is available in sizes S - 3XL and in Blue Ink, Black, Pitch Gray, Academy, Escape, or Beta.
Under Armour also make some great looking and functional sunglasses specifically for golf. Their new UA Tuned Golf Octane Sunglass lenses provide contrast enhancement & help you to read the course more precisely and distortion-free vision edge-to-edge. ArmourSight lens technology defends against the sun's harmful UVA/B/C rays, protecting your eyes against irreversible damage and the Multiflection coatings guard the lenses against scratches, smudges & intense sunlight. The Satin Black ArmourFusion frames use a high grade injected polyamide for maximum strength & durability and UA's AutoGrip self-articulating temples conform to your head shape without the squeeze. You'll see the ball better and find it easier to read the greens in the new UA Octane sunglasses.
You can see that Under Armour has a lot to offer golfers this year, especially from a fabric technology standpoint. When you add sunglasses and shoes to the mix, you could say they outfit you from head to toe! For more information or to see the entire collection, visit their website: www.underarmour.com.

About: David Theoret
David Theoret has been in the golf and golf travel industry for over 10 years, primarily selling online advertising. For the past seven years, he has also been a golf writer, reviewing golf courses, resorts, destinations, equipment, golf apparel, and training aids - the latter of which never seems to help. David's articles and reviews have been posted on many golf travel and equipment websites.
Growing up in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, it was naturally assumed he would play hockey. Beginning at the age of 3 and continuing into his late 30's, he did just that. However, after one too many pucks to the head, he realized that golf was a lot easier on the body (whoever said hockey players were slow) and took the game up.
After moving to Florida and accepting a position with TravelGolf Media (now part of GolfNow) his love for the game grew exponentially. Most Saturdays you will find him on a course somewhere in Florida or on the practice range reinforcing his bad habits. David plays to a 10 handicap - unless there is money involved in which case it goes considerably higher. He currently resides in Lakeland, FL with his wife Belinda and their two "kids", Madyson and Molly.
