Give Our Readers An Overview of the Golf Course/Property
Mt. Frontenac Golf Course is a stunning 18-hole golf course overlooking the Mississippi River and Lake Pepin. It located at the top of the bluff and is surrounded by beautiful trees, rolling terrain and excellent scenery. It is a remarkable one of a kind course with some of the most spectacular, awe-inspiring views in the Midwest.
We have several Stay and Play options as our course and Treasure Island Resort and Casino are owned and operated by the Prairie Island Indian Community.


If Someone Was Looking To Golf In The Area, Why Should They Play Your Course?
1. Ideal for individual, group, and tournament play.
2. Driving range and practice putting and chipping green.
3. Full-service pro shop. Largest inventory of apparel and equipment in the area at a price to suit you.

What Tips or Local Knowledge Would You Provide To Help Them Score Better At Your Course?
Our greens are challenging as we are 1 mile up the road at the top of the bluff and the greens tend to slope toward the hillside. High lofting approach shots are ideal.


Any recent changes to the golf course? Or any upcoming changes?
We are constantly working hard to improve our course. A short term goal is the addition of another set of tee boxes for the ladies. We also try to make the course playable for families.

Golf Digest's Places to Play. 4 Star rating by Golf Digest. Top 4 scenic course in Minnesota by the Minneapolis Star and Tribune. A best value rating in the Metro Area by the Minneapolis Star and Tribune.


What Is The Signature, Most Talked About, or Most Photographed Hole?
Our entire course is very scenic, but Hole 13 does stand out for guests. This is where the cameras come out. From the 13 Green to the 14 Tee Box, your view overlooks a spacious valley and from there you view continues to the Mississippi River and Lake Pepin and capped off by a view of the Wisconsin Bluffs.


What Is Your Favorite Hole? Any Tips to Play It?
I do not have a particular favorite hole. Our par 3 5th hole goes uphill and plays near 240 from the tips. We do have a couple of shorter risk/reward par 4's that are always fun.


Must Have Dish or Drink after the round at the 19th Hole?
Our grill serves delicious food regardless of your preference. As mentioned earlier, our lunch special is well known.


For the traveling golfer, do you have lodging onsite or partner with any area hotels?
We do not have lodging onsite, but Mt. Frontenac Golf Course and Treasure Island and Casino are owned and operated by the Prairie Island Indian Community. We offer a variety of stay and play options to fit everyone.
