An Interview With Ron Roberts, PGA Head Golf Professional

The ultimate golf vacation is staying and playing at a golf resort. Below is an interview with Ron Roberts who shares some valuable information about staying and golfing at Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park.

Give our readers an overview of the golf resort. Voted 2013/14 #7 'Best in State of Kentucky' by Golf Digest!

Dale Hollow Lake has bent grass tees leading to zoysia fairways and large, undulating bent grass greens. The 61 bunkers are framed by zoysia. Most of the holes have moderate to severe elevation changes. Other course features include numerous rock outcroppings, small caves, springs, gorges, two ponds, and mountain views. Bring your camera, this is one of the most scenic courses in the country. Five sets of tees accommodate every level of player.

The practice range features three large zoysia tees and two target greens. Also available are two practice greens and a practice bunker.

The course and practice facility were designed by nationally acclaimed architect Brian Ault and opened for play in 2003. Golf Digest magazine consistently ranks Dale Hollow as one of the top 10 courses in Kentucky.

Golfers staying anywhere on Dale Hollow Lake can boat to Dale Hollow State Park Resort Marina. The park offers shuttle service to the golf course and lodge. The shuttle service runs from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. 7 days a week in the SUMMER season only. Dale Hollow Lake State resort Park is located in the Central Time Zone.
