Give Our Readers An Overview of the Golf Course/Property
Heatherhurst Golf Club is home to 36 of the 90 holes of golf at Fairfield Glade Resort. The Brae and Crag courses were designed by Gary Roger Baird and are sure to provide an enjoyable experience to golfers of all abilities.

On the Brae course the front 9 provides the most challenge including a double dogleg fairway with two forced carries over Otter Creek on the 4th hole, said to be one of the toughest par 5's in Tennessee. The back 9 offers three par 3's, three par 4's and three par 5's with undulating fairways and encroaching bunkers. Number 10 is a par 5 that moves down hill to a green overlooking Lake Dartmoor. The Brae is the only course in the area with Zoysia grass fairways, optimal during the hottest summer months.

The Crag course is player-friendly with tee locations ranging from the most forward Green tees at 3,600 yards to the Blue tees at 6,200. Bent grass tees and greens, wide fairways-great for short hitters, and strategically placed bunkers add to the fun. The 17th is the Crag's signature hole. The teeing areas sit on an overlook that will have you pausing to take in the view. Although the 17th is a short hole, driving accuracy is important. A favorite among our furry and feathered friends, don't be surprised to see deer, turkey, squirrels or other passers by on the Crag course

Heatherhurst is the perfect place for golfers looking to play two rounds in a day. Both courses operate out of the same clubhouse so you can enjoy two rounds of golf on two different course without the hassle of driving from course to course.


What Is The Signature, Most Talked About, or Most Photographed Hole?
The signature hole on the Crag course is #17. The tee sits 70 -80 feet above the fairway below. The views from the tee box are some of the best around.

On the Brae course their are two signature holes, one on each 9. On the front 9 #4 is a double dog leg par 5 with two forced carries over Otter Creek. This has been the site of many ruined rounds. Whether for the beauty of the hole with the Otter Creek and the covered bridge, or the difficulty everyone that has played #4 remembers it. The signature hole on the back nine of the Brae is #10. It is a 562 yard par five that plays down hill to a green situated on a peninsula surrounded by lake Dartmoor. The view for the fairway is one of the best you will find on any golf course.
