Description
The establishment of Brookside Country Club came about as the result of two Pottstown groups drawn together by their mutual love of the game of golf: the organizers of the club and the Hill School. The earliest history of Brookside golf is linked to the keen interest in the game that was already flourishing at the prestigious boys boarding school lying directly south of the present location of the course.
Soon after the schools second attempt to build a course began, local residents organized the Brookside Country Club of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, enabling the improvements which, over the years, have made it a first-class private club.
