About Anster
Anstruther Golf Club was formed on November 3rd 1890 and started life as a 7 hole course, moving to a 9 hole layout in 1893.
Just 9 miles from St Andrews and The Home of Golf, we are a very popular destination for golfers who are looking for something a little different while visiting the area.
Our signature hole, The Rockies, was voted the toughest par 3 in the UK in 2007 by Todays Golfer and is still one of the hardest you will play.
This can be attested to by none other than Tour Pro Andrew "Beef" Johnston and Andrew Cotter of BBC and Sky TV fame who while fiming as part of a DP Tour film could only manage a bogey and double bogey
