SMALL TOWN ROOTS, WORLD CLASS FACILITY
Atkinson Resort & Country Club opened with nine holes in 1996 and added the back nine in 1998. In 2002 the 75,000 square-foot clubhouse opened featuring two restaurants, overnight guest rooms, and elegant event facilities. In 2009 the nine-hole Par 3 course and Willowcreek Golf Academy was established. In 2015 the National Golf Course Owner’s Association awarded the Resort with National Course of the Year. The award is predicated on four factors: quality of the golf course, quality of ownership and management, outstanding contributions to the local community, and significant contributions to the game.
