Golf Course Review: Warnimont Park Golf Course
Excellent Par 3 muni course
Warnimont Golf Course is an excellent 18-hole facility, featuring all par threes. It is ideal for beginners and long-time hackers alike. all holes are under 200 yards in length, providing novices with a relatively short walk and nice, open greens.
However, some holes play a bit uphill and offer even experienced golfers a bit of a challenge. Trees also line the course, adding some extra obstacles players are forced to negotiate.
There are no sand traps on the track and water only comes into play on a couple of holes. This adds to the accessibility of the course. Greens fees are also reasonable, so your pocket book won't take a hit.
My family holds a yearly reunion/golf outing at Warnimont each July, and the course is almost always in solid condition. It is loctaed right on the Lake Michigan shoreline, offering some nice scenery. Temperatures in the middle of the summer, however, can reach near 100 degrees, so plan accordingly.
Overall, Warnimont Golf Course provides an enjoyable, accessible, and somewhat challenging round of golf.
