Golf Course Review: Badger Creek Golf Course
You should try this course
I have played Badger Creek only twice and would rate it as an enjoyable experience. I am a mid-level player (scoring 44-50/nine) on average. It's shorter than I expected playing from whites--(2954 out / 2857 in) and mostly a forgiving course with wide fairways. Some very interesting hole set-ups. A few suggestions: If you play alone and play at sunrise -- bring your sunglasses. Many of the shots are facing into the East and if you dont have a partner-you will spend some time looking for your shot...Also, don't disregard this course by the short distance--there are Blues and Blacks behind the whites that top out at 6,850 yds. The Good: the contours of the course are beautiful...trees / wild grasses / rolling hills (The Bloody Mary bar on the weekends is also very nice!) The Bad: Tee-boxes are in tough shape and when i played early in the year, the course was REALLY wet. Overall--I'd rate it more enjoyable than High-Cliff or Hickory Hills (all three are in Calumet County).
