Golf Course Review: Iron Horse Golf Club
Good Track Through Quarry And Nebraska Prairie
Iron Horse Golf Club weaves through a golf housing development for the first few holes of the front nine. The heart of the course is the back nine.
10 is on of the more demanding par 5's in the state. The short hole requires a straight drive with wetlands on left and Lake Iron Horse on right. The fairway climbs the bluff and narrows to 6 feet wide for an intimating second shot. The landing area approaching the green generously expands but the hazard to the right is not the cliff wall. Great hole!
Greens are true and fast and conditions are great.
After the round have a beer on the outside deck overlooking the lake quarry and course. Great view!
