Golf Course Review: Nippersink Golf & Resort
Great Course
Great old style course design. The bunkers are where they belong and you can approach any green either on the ground or through the air. It has a wonderful mix of holes with a little bit of everything. Dog-legs left or right, long difficult and short easy par 4's. A little gem par 3 of 140 yards over a pond, trees right and left, jail long and two deep pot bunkers guarding the front. The finishing hole is a classic of risk reward with a deep swale running across the fairway at 240 yards. Everything rolls right and into the woods if you push or slice it. An approach from 200 down to 160 depends on the drive. The clubhouse is everything ever needed at a golf course with a classic old bar, a fireplace and an excellent staff. It's a mere $25.00 on the weekdays and is a very good test of a golfer's skill. Highly recommended. If you want "perfect" go elsewhere. If you want golf, stop by.
