Golden Sands Golf Course

Nice Course, Over Priced, Poor Management

This course advertises special prices to draw you in and then puts restrictions on them when you show up. (i.e. they advertise Tuesday special of 18 holes with cart for $26. Upon arrival was told the special was only until 1 pm and my 1:45 tee time was full price. How convenient that no one mentioned that on the phone.) The course is in overall good shape. On the day that I was there the heat index was hovering around 100 degrees. We never saw a beverage cart for the entire 18 holes. After the 12th hole a small thunderstorm approached the golf course and we sat for 15 minutes watching the rain and listening to the thunder. No sirens or horns were sounded to warn of the approaching storm and we waited to make sure it was clear before continuing on. After completing the round we asked to speak with the manager. We were told that he was not there and we were directed to the bar area and spoke with a manager who appeared to be humored by our complaints of the overall poor experience. She argued with us about the pricing, even after we showed her pictures of the advertisement. At first she told us a beverage cart was on the course and when we told her we played 18 holes and never saw anyone, her story changed and she told us no one was available to be out there. Needless to say, I will not be going back.
