Golf Course Review: Pioneers Golf Course
Old course with small greens and no sand traps.
The course takes advantage on the topography. Both the front and the back start with a fairway that falls away. The fifth hole is a post card with a tee high above the fairway that plays back to an elevated green. For the most part, the course is fairly easy and straight forward as indicated by the slope rating. As the summer goes along, the course tends to dry out making average players into long hitters. The lack of sand traps also makes it a little easier for duffers to navigate around the greens.
