Description

Sinking Valley Country Club was founded in 1963 and features 18 Championship holes measuring 7032 yards from the back tees with a slope rating of 137. The white tees measure 6454 yards and have slope rating of 131.There are also Senior Tees and Ladies tees as well. The senior tees measure 5386 yards.

Sinking Valley County Club is nestled among strands of mature hardwood trees in a peaceful mountain setting boasting breathtaking views. Here a round of golf can sometimes be confused with a stroll through a nature preserve. However, the lightning fast bent grass greens and plush fairways make golf at Sinking Valley a serious business.

In addition to 18 holes of championship golf, Sinking Valley offers a fully stocked pro shop, an extensive golf practice range with Bunker practice and a chipping area, a bent grass putting green, golf lessons, and the Bogey Bar 'N Grill Restaurant. All of this open to the public during Golf Season. Golf Lessons are available through the Golf Shop.

Sinking Valley County Club has hosted a number of USGA and WPGA sanctioned events. In 2007, SVCC hosted both the United Sates Amateur Qualifier and Western Pennsylvania Golf Association open qualifier. In 2008, SVCC hosted the WPGA Senior Championship. In 2009, Sinking Valley once again hosted the USGA United States Amateur Qualifier. These qualifiers continue today, with the USGA United States Amateur Public Links Qualifier taking place in June of 2012.
