Description
Experience the beautiful and historic Tam O' Shanter Golf Course, scenically located at the north branch of the Chicago River. Tam O'Shanter Golf Course is a Public Golf Course owned and operated by the Niles Park District. It is open 7 days a week, April to December, weather permitting.
Tam O Shanter traces its roots back to the Tam O' Shanter Country Club (owned by the legendary George S. May), which was host to many early Golf championships including the First Nationally televised Golf Tournament in 1953. Past players included Sam Snead , Arnold Palmer, Patty Berg, Babe Zaharias, Lew Worsham and Chandler Harper.
