The Golf Club at Star Fort is located in the historical town of Ninety Six, S.C. in Greenwood County. The club is named after the Revolutionary battle of the same name. The course is located just 12 miles from downtown Greenwood in the eastern section of the county. Star Fort is a semi-private club with a peaceful setting that has no sirens, houses or noise to interrupt your game. You may even see some turkeys or deer plus a variety of beautiful trees that surround the property. It is very player friendly with only 1 forced carry over water of about 60 yards. Being an older style course, it is easy to walk with each tee situated near the previous green. Five separate teeing grounds give the golfer a choice of difficulty that will challenge any level of play.
