Description
In 1792, Captain George Vancouver, an English explorer who sailed Puget Sound, called our bay Useless because his keel hit bottom before his anchor could. In the early days, our back nine was part of the bay and smaller ships sailed right up to our 13th green. The surrounding land was mostly farmland.
Today, Useless Bay Golf & Country Club features one of the Pacific Northwests finest golf courses with a full array of amenities. The Clubhouse offers fine dining and many social events, while the Golf Shop provides the latest in golf equipment and apparel. Tennis is also available on two outdoor courts. The swimming pool is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day, and our fitness room is open year round.
Useless Bay Golf & Country Club is located on the south end of Whidbey Island with views of the Bay and the Olympic Mountains. Useless Bay Golf & Country Club is a private club with memberships currently available.
