Since its inception in 1976, Walden has enjoyed the reputation as one of the premier courses in the state of Texas. All though, known for our world-class golf we also include a vibrant schedule of activities for all levels of play. The Café on the Green Restaurant welcomes all with its friendly professional staff and calendar of events ranging from Martini nights, to regularly scheduled wine dinners. Golf Digest has ranked Walden on Lake Conroe as the best course in the Houston area and the 5th best in the state. Golf Magazine has ranked our par 5 11th hole as one of the top 500 holes in the world. Walden has hosted many prestigious events over the years, including the 2006 TGA South Amateur Championship, the 2007 Southern Texas PGA Pro Championship, the 2009 TGA Mid America Match Play Championship, 2010 Women's Texas Cup and most recently the 2011 WTGA State Amateur Championship.
