These are the terms and conditions for booking tee times using our Internet booking facility.
Payment
=======
To book a tee time on-line, please enter your credit or debit card details using our secure on-line payment process. Full payment will be taken at the time of booking.
Cancellation Policy
===================
In the event of a cancellation of a tee time, the booking may be moved to an agreed alternative date, within one calendar year of the reservation. Please contact the Reservations Team either by email: bookings@royallytham.org or telephone 01253 724206 to check alternative availability.
If you do not wish your booking to be transferred to an alternative date a refund will be offered as per the schedule below:
60 days or more before the date of play - 50% refund
59 days or less before the date of play No refund
Course Closure
==============
In the unlikely event the we close the course due to unplayable weather conditions, your booking may be moved to an agreed alternative date, within one calendar year of the reservation, or a refund of green fees will be made in full to your credit/debit card.
Winter Rate
===========
The discounted winter rate is in place to represent on-course works during the period in operation. No further discount will be provided.
Booking Transferable
====================
The Booking is completely transferable. Should you be unable to make your tee time, you can offer the tee time to someone else such as a family member or friend providing they comply with the booking restrictions.
Handicap Certificates
====================
Handicap certificates are not essential but the limits are: Gents 24 maximum and Ladies 30 maximum.
Please note that players under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an Adult
Dress Code and Mobile Phones
============================
On the Course and practice areas:
Conventional golfing attire including golf shoes must be worn.
Trousers and shorts must be tailored.
Tailored shorts must be accompanied by long socks or short white ankle socks.
Men’s shirts must have sleeves, a collar or polo neck and remain tucked in.
If caps are worn, peaks must face forward.
The following items are not considered conventional golfing attire: denim jeans, tracksuits, trousers/shorts with external
pockets, attire from other sports, and ripped or frayed clothing.
In the Clubhouse :
Neat, smart and appropriate golf attire is acceptable, however shorts may not be worn upstairs
Golf or other sports shoes may not be worn upstairs
Hats and outerwear are not permitted upstairs in the Clubhouse. Golfing headwear may be worn on the balcony with peaks facing
forward, however, Panama hats are preferred.
Mobile Device Policy
Making or receiving phone calls is not permitted in any area except the Locker Rooms, Telephone Booth, and Car Park, except in
an emergency.
Aside from making calls, mobile devices may be used on the course and in all areas of the Clubhouse, they must remain silent at
all times and must not disturb other patrons.
Watching video/streamed content on mobile devices is not permitted, except on the practice area as a teaching aid.
Listening to music and the use of headphones is not permitted at any time on the Club premises, this includes the golf courses,
practice areas, clubhouse and car park.
Procedure on arrival
====================
Upon arrival at the Club, Visitors should report to the Professional's Shop, which is adjacent to the First Tee, at least fifteen minutes before play, pay any Green Fee or balance due. Late arrival may result in cancellation of bookings and inconvenience to other players.
