By Dave Daubert

Howey-In-The-Hills, Florida-- The girls are once again returning to Central Florida over Memorial Day at the beautiful and stately Mission Inn Resort, and will compete on El Campeon, one of two championship layouts at the resort. The 105-year-old golf course that has endured the test of time and is part of the Florida Historic Golf Trail, El Campeon is renowned for its picturesque rolling hills, 85 feet of elevation change, sparkling lakes, undulating greens and challenging layout all of which is surrounded by the area's natural beauty and the sprawling resort.

Bud Beucher, the Vice President and General Manager of the Mission Inn states, "We are proud to host the INOVA Mission Inn Resort & Club Championship, which is the third annual time the Inn has hosted the Epson Tour, 'the road to the LPGA'." The Epson Tour is the official qualifying tour of the LPGA and is entering its 42nd season in 2022 of showcasing the up and coming stars. The Tour's mission is to prepare the world's best female professional golfers for a successful career on the LPGA.

Several of this year's participants have been making their presence felt as they continue to maintain their high level of success playing against some of the best in the world. Currently there are several ladies who are competing for a spot at the top of the money list heading into their appearance here in Central Florida. The Championship could very well be a turning point in this race as players face stiff competition and a formidable golf course that will test their stamina and patience over 54 holes. One of the key holes is the signature El Campeon's par 5, 17th which features a long double dogleg with an abundance of natural obstacles.

The Beucher family and Mission Inn are no strangers to golf. For more than 40 years they have loved and supported the game. Bud commented, "We came here in 1964, and what you are seeing now is our life's work. We are delighted to assist in the journey of these talented female golfers."

The event is open to the public and what a perfect time for the viewing public and golf aficionados to enjoy professional golf within the confines of the Mission Inn Resort & Club May 27-29th. You might just see the next Inbee Park, Lydia Ko or Nellie Korda competing.
