Description

Carved into the surrounding Blue Ridge mountains our two championship golf courses, Apple Valley and Bald Mountain, weave themselves through the Resort property. We offer golfers of all ages and abilities the opportunity to hone their skills. Our courses, each with a Golf Digest four-star rating, are specifically manicured for world-class play and provide year-round opportunities for golfers to enjoy play among the breathtaking mountain and lake views. Apple Valley Golf Course opened in 1986 with rave reviews. It was called the “most beautiful mountain golf course” by Golf Digest. It was designed by Dan Maples, son of the great Ellis Maples, and he carved a masterpiece out of the valley. The Apple Valley course offers wide fairways and large, undulating greens. It has a layout that will take you through the valley and then up toward Youngs Mountain and then back down again. You will leave telling yourself that the back nine is one of the most beautiful nine holes you have ever played. It is a great course for all levels of players and is truly a hidden gem.

Apple Valley offers EZ-Go electric carts for your enjoyment. Each golf cart is outfitted with rain hoods, sand bottles, and USB ports for all your charging needs. The Apple Valley golf course is unique as it offers these
extra additions for your enjoyment:

* COOLERS WITH COMPLEMENTARY WATER
* ROLLED TOWELS IN EACH CART
* USB PORTS FOR YOUR ELECTRONICS

Apple Valley facilities include: retail golf shop, practice putting green, full driving range (during hours), rental clubs, and Pinnacle Southern Kitchen, an on-site full service restaurant and bar serving breakfast and lunch.

It is an exciting time here at Rumbling Bald Resort as we are now offering affordable memberships focused on golf. We have some great opportunities for you to take advantage, and we look forward to seeing this grow into a successful program. Our two golf courses, Bald Mountain and Apple Valley, are so much fun to play and are always in great condition. It is a rare treat to have two golf courses and there are not many places around that can boast such a thing. The membership drive is only for a limited time!

No initiation fee for any of our membership categories. Golf Membership allows you to participate in all RBR events such as the Club Championship, Member-Guest, Ryder Cup, Solheim Cup, Member-Member and many more! Golf Members will also receive special additional discounts throughout the season, but always receiving 20% off merchandise in either Pro Shop.

First 15 new members to sign up will receive:

Membership Opportunities:

Individual Golf Membership
Available to any resident of Rumbling Bald Resort. Only good for one family member. Membership includes unlimited golf at either golf course for a 12 month period. Includes all Green Fees and Cart Fees. Complimentary Range Plan is offered with this membership. Monthly dues: Resident $199 • Non-Resident $229

Family Golf Membership
Available to any resident of Rumbling Bald Resort. Only good for an individual, their spouse or significant other, as well as any children still living at home under the age of 24. Membership includes unlimited golf at either golf course for a 12 month period. Includes all Green Fees and Cart Fees. Complimentary Range Plan is offered with this membership. Monthly dues: Resident $325 • Non-Resident $375

Weekday Golf Membership
Available to any resident of Rumbling Bald Resort. Only good for one family member. Includes Green and Cart Fees at either golf course for a 12 month period. Only good for play on Monday - Thursday. If you choose to play on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday a $20 charge would be applied to the round. The Range plan is not included. Monthly dues: Resident $185 • Non-Resident $209

Seasonal Resident
Available to any resident of Rumbling Bald Resort. Includes Green and Cart Fees good for either golf course. Only applicable for a 6 month period. Ex. Is from May 1st - October 31st. The Range plan is reduced to $99 in this category. Monthly dues: Single $285 • Family $355

Annual Range Plan - Unlimited Use!
Annual dues Resident: Single $150 • Family $200. Annual dues Non-Resident: Single $200 • Family $235

Please note: Non-Residents may acquire the Individual, Family or Weekday membership. The Seasonal Membership is only offered to residents of Rumbling Bald Resort. All membership categories, excluding the seasonal option, requires a 12 month promissory note to bypass an initiation fee.

Group golf trips and tournaments can be a fun, team-building experience for retreats, conferences, and fundraisers. Planning one, however, can be quite an endeavor. At Rumbling Bald, we take care of all the details so the only thing you need to worry about is your golf game. Your personal event coordinator will help you plan the entire trip including lodging, golf and any special needs your group may have.

Groups return year after year to experience golf in the Lake Lure area. If your group needs to take care of business on and off the course; we can design a custom package that includes:
