Description

Carved into the surrounding Blue Ridge mountains our two championship golf courses, Apple Valley and Bald Mountain, weave themselves through the Resort property. We offer golfers of all ages and abilities the opportunity to hone their skills. Our courses, each with a Golf Digest four-star rating, are specifically manicured for world-class play and provide year-round opportunities for golfers to enjoy play among the breathtaking mountain and lake views. Bald Mountain Golf Course was designed in 1968 by W.B. Lewis, the Bald Mountain course has stood the test of time. Playing under the shadow of Bald Mountain itself, you can enjoy our beautiful views and first-class conditions. This golf course has a unique layout with five par 5’s and five par 3’s leaving you more opportunities for the elusive birdie or eagle. The golf course is very inviting with opportunities on many holes to run the ball up to the green. But do not let the yardage fool you. With tight fairways and small greens, the low handicap golfer will have a challenge as well.

Bald Mountain facilities include: retail golf shop, two practice putting greens, irons only driving range (during hours) and rental clubs. Legends on the Lake a family-friendly sports themed restaurant is just a short stroll away and is a great before and after hangout.

Group golf trips and tournaments can be a fun, team-building experience for retreats, conferences and fundraisers. Planning one, however, can be quite an endeavor. At Rumbling Bald, we take care of all the details so the only thing you need to worry about is your golf game. Your personal event coordinator will help you plan the entire trip including lodging, golf and any special needs your group may have. Groups return year after year to experience golf in the Lake Lure area. If your group needs to take care of business on and off the course; we can design a custom package that includes:

It is an exciting time here at Rumbling Bald Resort as we are now offering affordable memberships focused on golf. We have some great opportunities for you to take advantage, and we look forward to seeing this grow into a successful program. Our two golf courses, Bald Mountain and Apple Valley, are so much fun to play and are always in great condition. It is a rare treat to have two golf courses and there are not many places around that can boast such a thing.

Golf Membership allows you to participate in all RBR events such as the Club Championship, Member-Guest, Ryder Cup, Solheim Cup, Member-Member and many more! Golf Members will also receive special additional discounts throughout the season, but always receiving 20% OFF merchandise in either Pro Shop.

Individual Golf Membership
Only good for one family member. Membership includes unlimited golf at either golf course for a 12 month period. Includes all Green Fees and Cart Fees. Complimentary Range Plan is offered with this membership. Monthly dues: Resident $199 • Non-Resident $229
Family Golf Membership
Only good for an individual, their spouse or significant other, as well as any children still living at home under the age of 24. Membership includes unlimited golf at either golf course for a 12 month period. Includes all Green Fees and Cart Fees. Complimentary Range Plan is
offered with this membership. Monthly dues: Resident $325 • Non-Resident $375
Weekend Golf Membership
Only good for one family member. Includes Green and Cart Fees at either golf course for a 12 month period. Only good for play on Monday – Thursday. If you choose to play on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday a $20 charge would be applied to the round. The Range plan is not included. Monthly dues: Resident $185 • Non-Resident $209
Seasonal Resident
Available to any resident of Rumbling Bald Resort. Includes Green and Cart Fees good for either golf course. Only applicable for a 6 month period. Ex. Is from May 1st – October 31st. The Range plan is reduced to $99 in this category. Monthly dues: Single $285 • Family $355
Annual Range Plan – UNLIMITED USE!
Annual dues Resident: Single $150 • Family $200 | Annual dues Non-Resident: Single $200 • Family $235

PLEASE NOTE: Non-Residents may acquire the Individual, Family or Weekday membership. The Seasonal Membership is only offered to residents of Rumbling Bald Resort. All membership categories, excluding the seasonal option, requires a 12 month promissory note to bypass an initiation fee. Unlimited golf subject to available tee times.
