Description
The Omni Homestead Resort offers some of the country's most challenging and historic fairways. Consistently ranked among the finest Virginia golf courses, our championship courses allow you to perfect your golf game on impeccably manicured greens while basking in the serenity of the surrounding landscape. Our championship courses have challenged Presidents William Howard Taft, Dwight D. Eisenhower and George H. W. Bush, as well as two generations of Rockefellers. Both courses have a clubhouse and offer short-game practice facilities and driving ranges.
Regarded as one of the finest mountain course in the country, The Cascades offers challenging links set against the backdrop of Virginia's breathtaking Allegheny Mountains. Sam Snead launched his career on this fabled Virginia mountain golf course, which has the honor of being ranked among "America's 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses" by Golf Digest.
Designed by legendary course architect William S. Flynn, The Cascades uses its varied terrain to influence play, rather than dictate it. Nationally ranked, The Cascades frequently tops list of the best Southern Courses including Golfweek magazine's "Best Golf Courses You Can Play in Each State," #1.
The Omni Homestead Resort's Old Course was completed in 1892 and is distinguished as home of the nation's oldest first tee in continuous use. As the game has evolved over time, so too has the Old Course – updates by William S. Flynn and Rees Jones have kept pace with the times. Abundant fairway contouring gives most shots a side hill, uphill, or downhill lie to smallish greens, making approach shots interesting.

Golf Instruction and Lessons
Individual and group instruction is available in spring and summer on the Old Course. The Cascades offers a driving range and short-game practice facilities. All resort courses have a clubhouse.
The Homestead Golf Advantage School Package is offered on select dates through October. The two-day clinics at the resort's Teaching Center feature focused instruction in pitching, bunkers, chipping and putting along with swing analysis.

The Omni Homestead Resort is one of America's iconic resorts, located on 2,300 acres in the mountains of Virginia. Renowned for its Southern hospitality and natural hot springs, the resort offers 483 guest rooms and suites, 72,000 square feet of meeting space and an array of fine and casual dining choices. The resort has two championship golf courses and a luxurious Spa. Allegheny Springs is a two-acre family-friendly water attraction with lazy river and water slides. The resort also offers falconry, archery, fly fishing, skiing, equestrian activities, Shooting Club, tennis, 18-hole miniature golf course and other recreational attractions.
Restaurant and Dining Options:
The elegant Dining Room, which serves breakfast and dinner, is a traditional resort dining experience and ideal for celebrating special occasions. Jefferson’s Restaurant and Bar are guest favorites for lunch and dinner. For dinner, Jefferson’s Restaurant features prime steaks and seafood while Jefferson’s Bar is a great place to grab a sandwich or snack and watch a game on the large screen TVs. Named after the resort's beloved long-tenured associate Woodrow “Woody” Pettus, Woody's is our casual burger-centric venue for lunch and dinner serving delectable burgers with unique flavor combinations, brick oven pizzas and superb milkshakes. Located in the Casino building, one of the resort's most historic structures, Woody's is conveniently situated near the Old Course.
Rubino’s, located at The Cascades and open seasonally, features clubhouse favorites like a traditional turkey club, and new favorites like grilled pesto chicken sandwich for lunch. In the evenings, enjoy an Italian inspired family-style dinner. Choose a salad and two pastas for the table before indulging in our delicious tiramisu.
