Description
An American monument to the game, the Old Course at The Omni Homestead Resort was completed in 1892 and boasts the distinction of having the nation’s oldest first tee still in continuous use.
Designed initially to challenge players of the late 19th century, the Old Course has received significant updates by renowned architects William S. Flynn and Rees Jones. The unique 6,099-yard layout consists of six par 3s, six par 4s and six par 5s – perfect for modern golfers to explore. This balance not only adds variety to each round but also showcases the thoughtful design and timeless appeal of this storied course.

Golf Instruction and Lessons
Individual and group instruction is available in spring and summer on the Old Course. The Cascades offers a driving range and short-game practice facilities. All resort courses have a clubhouse.
The Homestead Golf Advantage School Package is offered on select dates through October. The two-day clinics at the resort's Teaching Center feature focused instruction in pitching, bunkers, chipping and putting along with swing analysis.

The Omni Homestead Resort is one of America's iconic resorts, located on 2,300 acres in the mountains of Virginia. Renowned for its Southern hospitality and natural hot springs, the resort completed a $150+ million renovation in fall 2023 which encompassed all guest rooms, meeting rooms, public spaces and restaurants. This beloved destination offers 483 guest rooms and suites, 72,000 square feet of meeting space and an array of fine and casual dining choices. The historic Warm Springs Pools, which were recently restored, feature the mineral rich, geothermal waters which have attracted travelers for centuries.
